Hi, I’m Fiona — and I’m here to make life easier for you and your pet.
I know how much trust it takes to hand over your house keys — and even more to trust someone with your beloved pet. That’s why I’ve built Super Dog Training Academy on a simple promise: I’ll treat your pet — and your home — with the same love, care, and respect I’d want for my own.
I offer reliable, experienced dog walking and cat sitting services across North East Edinburgh. Whether you’re working, out for the day, or heading off on holiday, I’ll care for your pet like one of my own — with consistency, genuine kindness, and regular updates so you’re never out of the loop.
And that’s Skye in the photo — my Romanian rescue, best pal, and unofficial assistant. She loves joining me on the group walks and reminds me every day why I love doing what I do

How It All Started
Like most people in this job, I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, goldfish and hamsters, and it just made sense that one day I’d build my life around them.
I studied Biological Sciences at university, then went on to study canine behaviour, which really shaped the way I work now — reading body language, understanding stress signals, and giving pets what they need to feel safe and settled.
I set up Super Dog Training Academy to offer something personal and genuinely dependable for local pet owners — and over 13 years later, that’s still what it’s all about.

What You Can Expect
I keep things simple, thoughtful, and grounded in experience:
13+ years of hands-on experience working with dogs, cats and small pets
Pet First Aid trained
Fully insured, Disclosure Scotland checked & council registered
Gentle, reward-based handling — no force, no fuss
Regular updates, honest communication & a focus on trust
Basically: I treat your pets like I’d want someone to treat mine.
Meet Skye
Skye came from a shelter in Romania and settled into our life like she’d always belonged. She has a few quirks, just like any rescue dog, but she is incredibly sweet-natured, full of character and a bit mischievous to keep me on my toes.
She’s taught me so much about patience—especially with dogs who need time, space, and kindness to feel safe.
Her story is a big part of why I’m so tuned in to rescue pets and the quieter dogs. I’ve seen how much they thrive when someone really takes the time to understand them—and how far trust and consistency can go.
Skye is also the best reminder of why this work matters. She keeps me grounded, makes me laugh, and shows me every day what a privilege it is to care for animals.
If you’re looking for calm, kind, and reliable support for your pet, I’d love to hear from you.
